I shot this photo from the meadow this evening, facing southwest. You might have noticed Jupiter and Venus aligned north to south on the sky's dome recently...two bright stars racing toward the sunset. Well tonight the moon joins them and this show continues with variations for the next couple of nights and will not be repeated until I'm 101 years old. That is a long time to wait, so I'm glad I could capture this once-in-a-lifetime event! I hope you'll see it too, so hope for clear skies and get outside right after sunset. Remember to keep watching Jupiter, Venus and the Moon»
On December 12 the full moon is the largest and closest since March of 1993!
