The full "Buck Moon" takes place this year at 3:00 a.m. CDT, on July 18th. The buck moon is so called because July is the time when antlers of young bucks push out in coatings of velvety fur. Hey, great entry. Thanks. Also for the sky update. I've been watching the moon getting fuller these past few days and noticed the bright object in the southern sky. I've only seen one, but maybe I'm not looking closely enough. Hope it's clear tonight.
